About VACSATC
- Aiming to decrease morbidity and mortality and stop transmission of vaccine preventable diseases.
There were multiple reasons for the project:
- Both the infectious agents and rumours and concerns about vaccine safety cross country borders.
The problems cannot be resolved by action in one single country.
- Further improvements could be made through collaboration building on the experiences from many countries.
- Collaboration with participation of centres of excellence will lead to improved
quality and rapid dissemination of best practices.
- Collaboration is a rational use of resources and can reduce duplication of work.
- Public health is often inadequately funded as resources from national sources
are not made available.
