In 2008 a survey on current status of linked databases was sent out to selected European public health agencies. Information asked for included population covered by the system and type of data collected on vaccinations.
The survey was filled out by representatives from: Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, England/Wales, The Netherlands and Scotland

The estimated number of individuals with data in databases that could be potentially used for linked database studies is about 6,5 million.
Computerized hospital diagnoses that can be linked with immunisation registers Available in: Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Scotland and England (3 health areas)
Outpatient visit diagnoses in computerized databases Available in: Finland, England, the Netherlands
