Health care workers are an important source of information on immunisation and should be trained for that role. The focus in this part of the project was on possible improvements to the pre-service training of medical and nursing students. Surveys to establish the knowledge, skills and competences of students were carried out in seven participating countries. The results of the survey show that improvements can be made across the curricula. 85% of the responding students expressed a need for more training on immunisation.
