Improving websites

The internet is an important source of information on vaccines and immunisations. The VACSATC project partners collaborate to facilitate the access to reliable information.

The World Health Organisation runs the Vaccine Safety Net which is a project aiming to increase the number of websites which follow good information practices. Websites meeting certain criteria are accredited.

So far four partners have built new websites. Five partner websites have been accredited by the WHO Vaccine Safety Net and another will be in the near future.

The work on websites was presented as a poster at ESCAIDE 2009. The conference, hosted by the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control), was held in Stockholm 26-28 October 2009.
